Thanks. I hate voting for players from other teams.

Here's a proposed strategy:

• select Dallas (players are less 'deserving' than Wings players) to swap and generate a decent lead for both Habs (in particular) and Stars players
• Sit back and wait
• Wings players supporters will contact us as the Stars lead gets too much
• We then switch our swap over to the hard charging Wings supporters
• Stars supporters eventually catch on in a few days, and stop voting for Habs players, but by then it will be too late -- Wings supporters will be going full hog with us

Unless they are a Western team supporter agreeing to vote (in turn) for the players on the Habs, for the East (i.e. a swap arrangement) -- (the enemy of my enemy is my friend)

good grief. those are ridiculous numbers

and you can tell it's us because it looks like habs fans are voting for all the habs at the same time. it seems that only where there's a discrepency in the number of votes over 100k can you see where others might be voting.

Even though we have a huge lead in the polls...we can't let up at all.
Semin and Ovechkin will start getting some huge numbers pretty soon.

My fear is that we're going to see the NHL trump the valiant efforts of the Habs fans around the world and dictate the starting lineups.

Well, if I were someone in the nhl i would suggest them to announce an Habs starting lineup to commemorate their 100th anniversary and give something to the fans, without needing the votes. I don't think they would dictate the starting lineup and go against the fans votes, that would get alot of people pretty mad, I would think they understand whats going on, same goes to the players like Crosby or Ovechkin.

Agreed, but I wouldn't put it past them to go around the fan vote, and just appoint the starting line up. The NHL want to be able to market Sidney Crosby, Alex Ovechkin, etc so I can just see it coming now. Its the whole point of an All-Star Game.

If they cancelled our votes or even some of them and we didn't get all 6 habs on the starting line and they were all in the lead...i would be ticked off!

Personnally, I take pride in hard work and dedication so I vote the good ol' fashion way, all for Markov but all Habs every 10 votes.

I'm not closing down this window for the next 2 months now that its working. Too bad it only lets me vote once per minute.

It was updated once every hour in the morning, now since twelve nothing.

I think i've put in around 200 votes the past two days...we can't let up!

I have been faithfully voting for all 4 of those players along w/ 6 habs in the east. I keep voting for Hammer so he might get in their as well..... I wish I could move him to the west and vote for him < instead of Phaneuf... I hate that guy! >

They just updated the votes, Markov has more votes than all of the non habs appearing in the leaders of the defensemen.

I don't see Huet though, guess we'll have to do with Luongo.

Not if its done manually, but people are using automated voting stuff and that's not right.

They are not, one kid might have said it, but we all know 90% of the votes are legit ones probably, which still places all of our players well above the rest.

If thats true i can forsee them reseting the voting, its not fair at all.

Like I said before, one kid might have done it, but still, i don't see how you could do it if you have to login, choose 6 players, then cast your vote.

I would love to see Higgy get on that score board. Here's a little something i've been doing. In the write in section i am putting Higgins in all 3 spots along with the id code ....Christopher Higgins [id: 8470274] I dont know if its actually counting all 3 but its not telling me otherwise. Doing the same for Hammer.

This is just a start. Everyone has to vote at least once a day until the end of the voting. No exceptions. That should get the job done.

Also, am I the only one who doesn't want to see only Habs at the All-Stars? I mean, if I were to go to the All-Star game, I'd rather see players like Luongo, Ovechkin, Morrow, Lundqvist, Crosby, etc. than watch the players I see 82 times a year on tv and whenever I go to home games..

& I don't even enjoy the All-Stars, really.

You don't seem to understand how it works out, 12 forwards are still making the team, so you'll see Crosby, Malkin, Semin, Ovechkin, Levacalier, Igilna anyway, the vote only counts for the first shift of the game, the starters.

Luongo is playing for the west anyway and Lundqvist is second in vote for the goalie in the east.

Im all for a starting habs lineup.

IMO, Markov would be the most deserving of Habs, and I'd like to see Kovalev in the Skills comp.

there souldnt be any need for scripts, i think that this year more people are voting in the province of quebec, alot of people that usually dont even vote in those contest (im one of them) and by seeing the comments of Koivu and Tanguay on rds.ca about the voting they seem pretty happy to have the fans behind them to put them there!!

That's really my whole issue with this. All the power to them if they want the Habs there, but don't do it by "cheating".
I know what a script thing is, you can vote many times or something, but I don't quite get how it functions. Anywaaay..

You certainly know hockey. Markie is the one Hab lock for a starting spot; Washington's Green is probably the most appropriate other selection, for defense (but I am voting Komisarek anyway! ). I suppose it helps a little that most of the 'name' defensemen play in the west.

What works best for me, I vote then i hit the arrow to go back one page and vote again, and again, then maybe again and guess what once more lol.

I've been able to get on the voting site and actually cast votes. Yesterday, I was able to get on using firefox and was able to with IE. Even with IE I needed to refresh the ballot page 2 or 3 times to get a ballot with all the pieces and a submit button.

the site is under maintenence...hopefully nothing too stupid, like starting all over...

6 Habs would take up 6 of the 21 spots (12 forwards, 6 D, 3 goalies). That's 15 spots left for the other 14 teams in the East.

The coach of the team would have to decide between Ovechkin and Semin, or Crosby and Malkin, or 2 of the Alfie/Heatley/Spezza line.
