This was one of the reasons I wasn't initially voting for an all habs lineup. I was basing my decision on who I thought deserved to be there and then making my favorite selections from that group. I don't want to see players that aren't going to be as entertaining take the place of players I would prefer to watch. I'm honestly not going to get too excited over watching Fleury get shelled.

I was initially voting for Gonchar over Komisarek, because the Komisarek I enjoy watching is a monster and I can't see him playing that way in the gentlemanly all star setting.

I've voted for Markov all along. He deserves it AND I like him.

I've voted for Kovalev all along. He deserves it, despite his off record and his showmanship (entertainment value) more than makes up for his statistical anomalies. Ovechkin was one of the most entertaining players last year and while Kovalev doesn't have the same quality of talent, he has the same fan pleasing ability.

My other two forward votes were split between Koivu, Tanguay, Crosby, Ovechkin and Malkin. Koivu and Tanguay started well enough to reach my "deserve" criteria and the other three are obvious selections.

Markov 36 Games 27 Points +11 (You can't argue with those numbers)
Komisarek 20 Games 2 Points +4 (Brutal truth is that he hasn't earned a spot statistically, he's just lovable!)

Kovalev 36 Games 26 Points +9 (Not great, but even a Pens fan has to admit Kovalev is amazing to watch sometimes)
Crosby (I didn't even bother with stats because there is no question he belongs there)
Malkin (Same as Crosby)

Fleury 21 Games 11 Wins 7 Losses 2 OTL 2.96 GAA .907 SV%
(Which of these two honestly belongs in the all star game? I like Fleury too and he's from my province, but I'll have to content myself with Crosby. I can't justify voting for Fleury.)

I'm disappointed with how the whole voting scenario has played out and I won't be participating next year.
I've had enough with the fans vs. fans situation and the inconsistencies with the voting.

From this point on I am voting for Kovalev, Crosby, Malkin, Markov, Komisarek and Price. I had stopped voting for Malkin and Crosby out of spite and that was wrong. I am continuing to vote for Komisarek because Gonchar is ineligible anyway, regardless of his playing status.

This isn't supposed to be Habs fans vs. Pens fans.

There are three sticky threads on the Penguins boards relating to the all star balloting and this post just left a bad taste in my mouth so I thought I would share it. Kovalev, Markov and Komi are only in because they are letting us get them in, but apparently they are more focused on keeping Price out of the game than they are at putting Fleury in.

Ok fair enough maybe that 1 guy is an idiot, but I highly doubt the 100k whatever votes (I haven't checked in a whil since I don't vote in this stupid thing) were all from fans with intent on keeping Price out, probably just a small bunch of idiots.

I don't have a cell and the other site isn't working for me. It loads, but it doesn't allow me to enter information or click on anything. I'll keep looking in between votes, but I'm not on my own computer and this one runs slow so I'm at a two window limit for reasons of sanity.

Price -- he deserves it as he's got probably one of the hardest jobs in the NHL and is just awesomesauce in nets

Pens fans think an ASG vote will give Fleury some confidence if he plays there. I think it might hurt him... Ah well, it's their vote.

I got the site to work, you just have to stop the home page from loading completely by pressing stop before the copyright stuff appears. Then you can fill in the information normally.
