The reason for thte Pens to be on top for the all start is because Cry Baby Crosby went to management and cried so management contacted Bettman and Bettmand rigged it somehow....Its the only solution...BOO NETTMAND AND CROSBY DID YOU SEE HIM ON THE BENCH ALMOST CRYING
Votes haven't been updated for about 2 hours what will be the lead now...I must of voted 500 times during the game

This all star is garbage Gochar received 64,000 more votes then Komi so Komi received like 70,000 votes since yesterday so that means Gonchar received around 135,000 votes that is like 20%of of the total votes he had before....This is bs....Same goes for price yester Price ahead by 23,000 today losing by 47,000 that is 70,000 more votes for Garbage MFA more then what Price received

I don't blame Pens fans here: they're doing what we did.
But I do blame the NHL on a couple of levels. On one level, as much as I wanted to see an all Habs lineup, the entire fan voting system is a joke. If you want fans to vote, at least make it one vote per day or something.
On another level, they seriously screwed up at the beginning with not adding a captcha and having to take votes away was just not right.
But mostly: they managed to purposely or accidentally systematically discriminate against the Canadian teams with text message voting. Unlimited text messaging is simply far more popular in the USA. Also, if you really want to encourage people to vote for the players who deserve to be there: get rid of the "Pens" "Habs" etc. shortcuts to vote for all players on a team (what is the chance that the 5 or 6 best players in a conference are all on the same team).
I don't really care what happens anymore. The NHL made this a joke: I was okay with that when the Habs were winning of course, but even then I knew it wasn't really right. I voted all Habs anyways, mostly because of the Centennial and it being in Montreal, but even so that doesn't make the way the NHL deals with this appropriate.

Truthfully though the allstar game is a joke,
99% of us agree, Its a joke and not even worth watching. The big thing is that we are hosting the game, its our 100th anniversary and so on.
So it would only be right if we could vote in our lineup as being #1 in the east.
Seeing as that isnt going to happen. it sucks. Its not really going to change much. Alot more of us would have watched it due to our 6 guys being there. BUt @ the end of the day if they were there the game still would have been a joke.
O well, keep voting never say die,

I agree. I would add the point though that the Pens surge / comeback was led / organized by Pens Team Management, as acknowledged by their VP-Communications, using resources (paid staff, email / eblast lists, etc.) not usually available to the typical fan. The Habs 'run' (against the rules, where it was, or not) was
always straight from the fan base.

I was just voting online and when I submitted my second vote, I was told that I could only vote once per minute. That is the first time I saw that message. But really, with the amount of votes the Pens are getting someone has to be cheating. I have to believe that Ovechkin has as many fans in the U.S.A. as Crosby does and he is not even close. The league needs to give us back the votes they took away.

Just a suggestion, but don't waste your time. With the web, you've got a chisel in your hand; Penguin fans with unlimited texting have got jackhammers. Ratio of votes cast per minute is at least 20 to 1.

Dont think it works that way. Last year Sid got voted in and couldnt go so the coach picked Malkin to take his place. If Gonchar gets voted in and cant go, the coach will pick his replacement. It wont be Komi, or it might be, depending on who gets picked.

Habs fans will have to get the whole city to rally behind the team in the next couple days to have a chance at getting Price and Komi in the allstar game. In pittsburgh, fans are using their unlimited texting abilities to vote up to 2000 times a day. I know people who text out 10 votes per text and then just sit there and press resend all day long. Its the advantage the states has with its unlimited texting.
The whole allstar vote was a joke from the begining. This is proof that sometimes technology isnt always better. They should limit the amount of times you can vote, or go back to the mail in type.
It is still more impressive that Jagr got over a million votes with the old punch cards then anyone now a days getting it with the internet and texting.

To that woobwoob dude:
Everyone knows the votes for Pittsburgh come from an automatic system. But the NHL won't penalize the cheaters because the result is exactly what they wanted from the start : Their dear poster boy starting, and not to mention he ''broke'' the record Jagr held for the most votes. It's just way too good for the NHL and it gives them a lot of publicity, so they'll never take votes off like they did to Montreal (and they still do, btw

)
Do you seriously believe that in 24 hours, Pittsburgh received 150,000 real votes ?
Even if the Montreal players do not all deserve to be starters, they should start because their fans voted for them without cheating (when they did, the NHL took 20% of the votes off and the Habs were still leading by hundreds of thousands of votes.)
Montreal's the best hockey city in the world. If you ask the fans to vote, they will. So the league should assume that their voting system was very unlikely to give the result they hoped for

In terms of the voting I have this to say, while I've only made one vote, and until recently haven't even checked the results, theres one little interesting tidbit I found.
Tomas Kaberle: 97713, 9th amongst defenseman.
Now is it just me or does that seem odd? Toronto has by far the most fans as they are the "Mecca of Hockey" population wise. I know they don't have a good team, but I'm shocked Leafs fans aren't trying to stick it to their rivals by getting him into the starting 6, strikes me as very odd to say the least.
In terms of people complaining the systenm is rigged, really grow up. Nobody can actually confirm that any of this is actually legit and that the NHL didn't make their top 6 before this whole process even started. The fact that the NHL was the first ever league to make a live poll (although its not 100% live, but updated much more often than the normal voting process) is a gift that most leagues don't even think of. The reasons are apparent, constant dispute and conflict over nonsense.
Is the process legit? I looked through the terms and conditions and I didn't see of any third-party monitoring so I assume its ran and officiated by the NHL purely, and if so the NHL will do what it deems best for the league. If that means 100% freedom to the fan voters, they will do that. If it means manipulating the polls to get Crosby and Malkin in, they will do that too, if it means predeterming it all beforehand and making this whole process a whole sideact they will do it without blinking, seeing as we have no way of verifying. Its within their rights as it is their league and their voting system (again unless I'm wrong on that) ven if its unmoral.
Most likely what will happen is Crosby, Malkin, Koivu, Markov, Komisarek, and the goalies is a toss-up. Sure it may not be the ideal top 6 Habs lineup, but having that be detrimental to the league mainly because if the Habs have 6 players in the game, that will leave many deserving all-stars from much-earned bids. As much as it would outrage Habs fans to not have Alex Tanguay in the game, not having Phil Kessel or Alex Semin would have been even more controversial league-wide and throughout the entire NHL fanbase.
Think about it 12 forwards, 8 dman, 3 goalies, thats 23 roster spots, minus 6 for the Habs. You now have to put 17 players and have at least one from each of the remaining 14 teams, somebody will be screwed and the number of screwed and much more deserving players, will be higher possibly than in any previous season.

In terms of crying foul, I could care less. But honestly it now seems more of a battle of who has the better texting plan rather than who's got the crazy dedicated fans. To vote many time and often, use TextGen4Web, its a mod for Firefox which record each step you do on the internet. Once activated, it appear in the bottom of your browser. It's not complicated but once installed, do those step:
Step1: Go on the website
http://freetxt.ca/index.phpStep2: Press record,
Step3: Put the 81812 in the phone number box,
Step4: Select the provider
Step5: Type canadiens in the message text,
Step6: Click Send
Step7: Click on send ''another sms message now''
Step8: Stop the record, select Loop Infinite, press play (when you're on
http://freetxt.ca/) and have fun.
It's going to do each step you record and send sms to 81812 each 15 seconds (depends if u did it fast or not), open as many window you want (not in the same browser) and repeat the same step.
PS: You need to select one of these provider.
