You shouldn't be, since this topic was created 2 minutes ago. wink.gif

That said, Tanguay should be a good acquisition; he came pretty cheap in my opinion smile.gif

Welcome to the most storied franchise in the NHL, Alex!

--------------------
How can a player who is 22 or 25 or 27, and who was just eliminated from the playoffs be tired? Tired is a miner who works in a damp pit in Miktivka, in the Donetsk Plateau in Ukraine, who never sees daylight and who provides living for a family of five in a modest two-room apartment. That is tired.

Tired is a divorced mother with two young kids who double shifts as a nurse assistant and cleaning lady to make ends meet.

Actually, I see Tanguay playing with Saku. Why break up our top line from last year? This is the best winger Saku will have had since Mark Recchi! blink.gif

I agree. Of course things change big time if BG lands Sundin or Hossa or another big UFA.

u could be right but it all depends what Gainey and Carbonneau decide to do with him and depends if they decide to make another trade..because if they plan to trade either Higgins or Lats then yeah I could see him playing left wing...other wise he may play behind Plekanec and Koivu as their third line center and unless they pick up Sundin he could very well make up an all french Canadian line with Lats at LW and Lapierre at RW

Welcome,

Tang / Koivu / Sk

Ironically I think S.Kostitsyn moves to the 3rd line and Higgins remains on the Koivu line. Koivu and Tanguay can both score goals but prefer to be playmakers. I believe this statement can be made by S.Kostitsyn that he prefers to be a playmaker. Higgins is more of a scorer IMO especially if he has two playmakers like Koivu and Tanguay.

Of course I hope that Sundin or Hossa or another top UFA is added to this mix allowing two current line #2 to move to the 3rd line making the Habs a very good team. smile.gif smile.gif

"Alex Tanguay was not comfortable with the Calgary Flames," general manager Bob Gainey told TSN's sister station in Quebec RDS. "He was on our list of coveted players and was always available. At 28 years of age, I think could be on our team for several seasons."
