Welcome to the most storied franchise in the NHL, Alex!

"That's hurt me very much," Canadiens icon Dickie Moore said yesterday of the casual see-ya to Koivu, who in 1999 was named the club's 27th captain.
"This is awful. In life, you get back what you give, and I don't know what the Canadiens are going to get for doing this to Saku. What he wanted is what we all do in life: to feel wanted. I don't understand the Canadiens' philosophy about letting him go. I would like to even talk to the Molsons about this."

CITATION(AK @ Jun 20 2008, 08:44 PM) You shouldn't be, since this topic was created 2 minutes ago. That said, Tanguay should be a good acquisition; he came pretty cheap in my opinion eheh I just realized that the thread was just created since in the French side it was open a few minutes after the trade was done Imagine Tanguay and Sundin with the Habs !!! Wow, can't wait the beggining of the season.

QUOTE (QbGamer @ Jun 20 2008, 08:56 PM) Welcome,
Tang / Koivu / Sk Ironically I think S.Kostitsyn moves to the 3rd line and Higgins remains on the Koivu line. Koivu and Tanguay can both score goals but prefer to be playmakers. I believe this statement can be made by S.Kostitsyn that he prefers to be a playmaker. Higgins is more of a scorer IMO especially if he has two playmakers like Koivu and Tanguay. Of course I hope that Sundin or Hossa or another top UFA is added to this mix allowing two current line #2 to move to the 3rd line making the Habs a very good team.

"Alex Tanguay was not comfortable with the Calgary Flames," general manager Bob Gainey told TSN's sister station in Quebec RDS. "He was on our list of coveted players and was always available. At 28 years of age, I think could be on our team for several seasons."http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=241256&...s=topStory_main.....In bold.....
